Wedding Guide

Introduction

Firstly, may I take this opportunity to wish you and your partner all the very best for your future together. Weddings are such wonderful occasions, and I feel very honoured to have been part of each and every wedding that I have had the pleasure of photographing so far.

Let me introduce you to a new way of thinking about wedding photography, because I enjoy what I do, so I answer questions honestly and without any sales pitch which makes the whole experience far less stressful for you and your budget.

"That extra personal touch" began in 1998 when it became obvious that many photographers were only offering package solutions that just weren't tailored to what was actually required by the consumer, and where the attitude from some in the industry was far from sympathetic towards the customer.

Evolution of the photographic market has meant the photographer having to move with the times, and the client has far more options available to them now than there were only a year or so ago.

The idea is not to get you to part with as much cash as possible, because that has given many a photographer a bad reputation, but to give you a personally tailored photographic solution to meet your needs and budget.

There are no "packages" to choose from where you end up having to pick the basic one because that's all your budget will allow for, or one where you get a proof album containing as many as 200 pictures but you actually only get 20 in your album.
Surely the correct philosophy should be "The photographs taken on the day are the ones you get in your album"? At least then you don't have to choose which ones to leave out!

Planning a wedding, no matter how big or small can be daunting. There is so much to consider and there may be times that you feel that your plans are in complete turmoil and nothing seems to be going as you want it - but don't worry - with proper preparation the anxiety and confusion can be avoided.

This wedding guide aims to help you find your way through the maze of choices open to you, and sort through the various options in the marketplace to meet your needs. Not only will you find advice on what to do and when to do it, but tips on wedding etiquette, organising the service, choosing a photographer, cars, reception venues - almost everything that you could possibly need to make your wedding day that extra bit special.

I hope your wedding plans and the big day itself are everything you would wish for yourselves, and if the wedding guide or FAQ section at the end helps make it run that little bit smoother (regardless of whether or not you use my services), then I'm happy "That extra personal touch" has worked for you.

Congratulations to you both.
